Forces and Magnets

As part of our science lessons we have been learning about forces and magnets.  The children worked hard on understanding how to plan and carry out an investigation which looked at friction. They were then able to discuss how to ensure it was a fair test by changing certain variables.

During the magnets sessions we were then able to carry out another fair test finding out which was the strongest magnet. They were then able to put the results in a bar chart and discuss their findings.

We then ended this unit by asking the children to invent a magnetic game thinking carefully about the poles and using scientific vocabulary. Here are some photos of the class trying out their games.
